WLR FM Street Sweep

The WLR FM crew turned up yesterday evening to kick off the Street Sweep and it was great to see so many people out to support the effort of keeping our estate clean. These events have a special focus on getting the younger members of communities out helping to do their bit and Grange Manor certainly put on a great show with so many younger members of the estate making a huge effort to clean the areas around their homes.

Anyone who was there towards the end of the evening will have seen the huge pile of yellow bags at the bottom of Rocwood Drive and no doubt everyone will agree that it has yet again lifted the look of the estate, despite the poor weather today! Well done to all involved.

On behalf of the residents, a thank you to WLR FM who organised the initiative and provided goody bags for the participants and also to Waterford City Council who organised collection and disposal of the waste collected during the Street Sweep.

The responsibility of the association is to bring items of interest to the attention of the other residents within the estate and to encourage people to partake in the upkeep of the estate. The association is completely volunteer-based and is open to new members at each AGM.
